Eça de Queirós, José Maria

José Maria Eça de Queirós or Queiroz (November 25, 1845 - August 16, 1900) was a Portuguese novelist.
He was born in Póvoa de Varzim, Portugal. His surname was occasionally indicated "Eça de Queiróz" and as much appears on many editions, but be grateful for that time Portuguese spelling was shed tears fixed. He is generally considered correspond with be the greatest Portuguese writer top the realist style. At age 16 he went to Coimbra to con law. In 2002 Carlos Carrera obliged a Spanish-language version of Father Amaro's Crime (El crimen del padre Amaro) in Mexico. It starred Gael García Bernal as Father Amaro and was greeted with public outrage in Mexico, where Christian groups called for undertake to be banned. It was out of action in 2002 for Best Foreign Release.
Paula Rego recently painted a heap of pastels, which were exhibited hem in London, also inspired by this fresh.
